Intimate Partner Violence

Resources for the Emory Community

Emory’s Intimate Partner Violence Working Group offers resources and develops strategies to educate students, faculty and staff about intimate partner violence and dating violence within the context of the greater community.

Resources include:

  • Resources for students, faculty and staff
  • Georgia domestic violence resources

On-Campus

For confidential consultations, reporting, advocacy, prevention/outreach programs and suggestions, contact Emory’s Office of Respect.

Off-Campus

Contact the Day League for direct services, prevention education, and advocacy for youth and adult survivors of sexual assault, their families, and the community as a whole.

Hazing

As defined by Emory campus policy, Hazing encompasses any activity expected of someone joining a group (or to maintain full status in a group) that humiliates, degrades or risks emotional and/or physical harm, regardless of the person's willingness to participate. 

Hazing is regulated under Georgia law O.C.G.A. § 16-5-61. Contact the Emory Police Department at 404.727.6115 if you believe the hazing law was violated.
