Victim and Survivor Resources
Violent crimes are those cases that involve crimes which are committed by direct physical harm or force (or the threat of violence) being applied to another person. Examples of these cases include, but are not limited to, homicide, rape, robbery, kidnapping, assault, battery, stalking, hate crimes, and other crimes of violence. If you are the victim of a crime of violence the Criminal Investigation Unit is here to assist you in the investigation of these cases.

Domestic violence should not happen to anybody. Ever. Period. But it does - and when it does, there is help. Maybe you have lived with abuse, maybe it happened just once; maybe you work or live next to someone who is being abused right now. Whoever you are, the following information can show you how and where to get help.
If you are experiencing intimate partner violence additional resources are available on campus and in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. Intimate Partner violence is a pattern of behavior in which one intimate partner uses physical violence, coercion, threats, intimidation, isolation and emotional, sexual or economic abuse to control and change the behavior of the other partner-does not require sexual intimacy.
